Solvimon Payments
Solvimon Payments lets you collect invoice payments without a payment service provider contract of your own. It is built on Adyen for Platforms: Solvimon holds the Adyen account and onboards your business as a sub-merchant. In Desk it appears as the Adyen Payments integration (ownership: SYSTEM). Your customers pay through Solvimon, and Adyen pays out the funds to your bank account.
Solvimon Payments or your own Adyen account
Availability
Your billing entity must be registered in a supported country:
- Europe: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Guernsey, Hungary, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Jersey, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom
- North America: Canada, Puerto Rico, United States
- Asia Pacific: Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Singapore
For a new sandbox with a billing entity in a supported country, Solvimon automatically creates these resources:
- The Adyen Payments integration.
- Your Adyen legal entity, account holder and balance account. The balance account uses your default billing currency.
- A payment acceptor on your billing entity. New subscriptions use it by default.
For other countries, Solvimon does not create an integration. On your live platform, Solvimon sets this up when you go live.
Set up Solvimon Payments
Try it in your sandbox
Your sandbox is ready to take payments: the integration and the payment acceptor already exist. Finalize an invoice for a test customer. Then pay it from the customer portal with an Adyen test card.
Go live
Solvimon Payments goes live together with your live platform. When you request your live platform, tell your Solvimon contact that you want to use Solvimon Payments. Solvimon then does these steps:
- Creates the Adyen Payments integration on your live platform. The integration creates your Adyen legal entity, account holder and balance account from your billing entity. Thus, your live billing entity must exist first.
- Registers your business line (industry and website) with Adyen.
- Creates your store. The store routes your payments to your balance account and applies Solvimon’s fee split.
- Adds the Adyen Payments payment acceptor to your billing entity. You do not have to create one.
You cannot change the store or the fee split in Desk or through the API. Live payments succeed only after the store exists and Adyen verifies your business.
Verify your business
Adyen must verify your business (KYC) before it can pay out funds to you. Do this on your live platform. In the sandbox, verification uses Adyen test data.
- In Desk, go to Payments → Payouts overview.
- The banner at the top shows your verification status. Select the link in the banner to open Adyen’s hosted onboarding in a new tab.
- Provide the company details that Adyen requests.
- Add the bank account for your payouts. Adyen verifies the bank account as part of the check.
The banner appears once the Adyen Payments integration is active and your legal entity exists. You can come back to it at any time to check the status or update your details.
Solvimon enables the Transactions overview, Payouts overview, Reports overview and Disputes overview pages for your account. If you do not see them under Payments, contact Solvimon Support.
Check your payment acceptor
You do not need to add a payment acceptor. Solvimon automatically adds an Adyen Payments payment acceptor to your billing entity and makes it the default for new subscriptions. The acceptor has these settings:
- It stores the customer’s payment method.
- It charges the stored payment method automatically when an invoice becomes final.
- It retries refused card payments with Auto Rescue for 30 days.
- It allows cards only.
To review or change it, go to Settings → Billing entities in Desk. Open the billing entity and edit the acceptor. To accept payments for another billing entity, add an acceptor there and choose the Adyen Payments integration. There is no merchant account to select.
To offer more than cards, update allowed_payment_methods on the acceptor with PATCH /v1/payment-acceptors/{id}:
To add an acceptor for another billing entity, use POST /v1/payment-acceptors:
Do not send merchant_account for a Solvimon Payments integration. The API rejects the request.
Payment methods
Solvimon manages the methods enabled on the Adyen Payments integration (enabled_payment_methods, read-only). By default these are:
Three settings decide what a customer can pay with:
- The methods enabled on the integration. Solvimon manages these methods, and the table above lists them.
- The
allowed_payment_methodson the payment acceptor. The acceptor that Solvimon creates allows cards only. An empty list allows every enabled method. - The methods that Adyen offers for the invoice’s currency and the customer’s country. For example, iDEAL only appears for EUR payments.
The payment page that opens from an invoice’s payment link currently offers card, Apple Pay and Google Pay only. To pay with another allowed method, such as SEPA Direct Debit or iDEAL, the customer can pay the invoice from the customer portal.
Manage payments, payouts and disputes
Everything is under Payments in Desk:
The four overview pages are Adyen components, scoped to your Adyen account holder. Refund payments from Payments → Overview, so that Solvimon records the refund on the payment and the invoice.
Adyen deducts a chargeback from your balance account. If Adyen already paid out the funds, it deducts the chargeback from your next payout.
Limitations
- Only Transactions overview shows split details. The Solvimon payment object does not.
- Transactions overview does not link to Solvimon customers or invoices. Use Payments → Overview for that.
- Desk shows payouts, transactions, reports and disputes for one Solvimon Payments integration per platform.
- Solvimon creates your Adyen legal entity as an organization from your billing entity’s legal name and country. You add everything else in Adyen’s hosted onboarding.
- Do not edit the Adyen Payments integration in Desk. Solvimon manages its settings.
