Analytics & reporting

Solvimon gives you four ways to get billing data out of the platform: Insights to see how your business is doing, reports to download the underlying records, data exports to sync everything into your own warehouse, and the MCP server to ask questions about your data from an AI assistant. This page explains what each one is for, so you can pick the right one.

A simple rule of thumb: use Insights to see a number, reports to prove a number, data exports to combine your numbers with everything else you know about your customers, and the MCP server to ask about them in plain language.

Insights

Insights is the analytics area in Desk. It shows high-level overviews of revenue, invoices, usage, wallet balances, customers and growth, built from your billing data and converted to your reporting currency. Every tile is filterable, and the Ask page answers your own questions about the same data.

In Desk, Insights has four pages: Overview for the headline figures, Details for breakdowns of revenue, invoices, usage meters, wallets and customers, Growth for MRR movements and retention, and Ask for your own questions. See Where to find Insights.

Reports

Reports are files with the records behind the numbers: invoice headers and lines, tax summaries, the events billed on an invoice, unmatched and duplicate events, prices and overrides, subscriptions, payments and the revenue recognition schedule. You request them in Desk or through the API, run them on a schedule, and download them as CSV, JSON Lines, Parquet or Avro.

Data exports

Data exports replicate customers, subscriptions, invoice lines and products into Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Google Cloud Storage, AWS S3 or Azure Blob Storage. Use them when you want billing data next to the rest of your data and query it with your own tooling. The Integrations section describes setup, destinations and sync modes.

MCP server

The Solvimon MCP server lets an AI assistant read your billing data for you. Ask a question such as “which 10 customers generated the most invoiced revenue this year?” and the assistant queries Solvimon and answers, without you opening Desk or a report. It works with your Desk permissions and is read-only on live data by default.
