# Seat-based pricing

In many SaaS businesses, account or seat-based pricing is configured for the most standard contracts. You can add this type of pricing to a product that includes a revenue item with type **per-seat**.

In the pricing plan, a default number of seats can be configured. A user can consequently adjust the seat setting in the subscription schedule.
