# write_quote_template

**Live server:** test server (`test.mcp.solvimon.com`) only.

Creates and manages quote templates. A template is a kind of quote document (an order form, a commercial proposal, a pricing schedule), not a pricing plan. Reads go through `get_quotes` with `resource_type: quote_templates`.

**Actions:** `create`, `update`, `activate`, `archive` (no delete)

* `create` needs a `document_type`: `order_form`, `commercial_proposal`, `pricing_schedule` or `other`. Without `confirmed: true` it returns a summary and your existing templates, so you can reuse one. Confirmed, it creates a DRAFT template.
* One template per document type usually covers every plan. Linking a template to a plan needs a `plan_link_reason`, which is added to its guidance.
* `activate` and `archive` show a summary first and act only with `confirmed: true`.
